The media is very good for content, but do your own homework, and yes, have a knowledgeable honest informed passionate QB to guide you through these tough years in the markets.

What To Do

Has anyone else ever taken notice that there are very few who actually predict stock market crashes before they happen? Maybe you haven’t, but we have. Of course, you should hope so, this is our profession of Arms. Let’s look at three specific examples, shall we? Elaine Garzarelli – Did predict the crash of 1987, which made her famous, both on Wall Street and in the media. Her track record hence, wrong on every prediction she has made since 1987. So much so nobody even follows her or interviews her anymore. Meredith Whitney – Accurately and correctly predicted the latest crash of 2008. Shortly thereafter has been reiterating her theme that the municipal bond market would be the next to crash. Has not happened as of this writing, and matter of fact, the municipal bond market was the best performing sector in 2011. Jim Cramer – This one is easiest to sum up. Basically, the only stock or prediction that Cramer has been right on is Apple. He has been dead wrong on virtually everything else that has come out of his mouth. So, when you hear the pundits on TV talking about a commercial real estate correction, a new wave of foreclosures coming which will be 10 times worse than 2008, etc. etc. just remind yourself of the track record of such “predictions” by such “pundits”.
